Beeeeep, Beep Beep, Beep Beep Beep

After being in Guatemala for almost three weeks and noticing all of the honking that goes on between the cars, scooters, motorcycles and buses I had to ask WHY? Our new friend Iris broke down the honks for us.

One long BEEEEEP means that the driver is in a hurry and wants you to move out of their way.

Two short beep beep means hello, thank you or you are welcome.

Three beep beep beeps in a row means I am waiting for you, hurry up and get in the car.

I find this type of communication funny and laugh each time I hear a honk (Joe and Deanna, you would love it here! Veronica, you would not because you don't know where your horn is at).

Fascinating detective work, Jamie. Who knew???? Wonder if this applies to other cities?
We got your post card today! Kai is so impressed that we have had two from you. Thank you!

Hey, I know where the horn on the Rendezvous is. The problem is that I often hijack Shooter's Acura and now I am in trouble again.
